The brewery's restaurant is a perfect place to stop off. Cyclists friendly and generally courteous staff are always welcome! The food is served warm, hearty and well portioned. The interior is also convincing. One can only recommend this place!

At Gasthof Engel we not only enjoyed a delicious meal, but also good entertainment by Nils and his team! ;) Thank you for the nice evening in your restaurant, we can only recommend you and the food! The drinks are also worth every alcohol, GLÜHGIN is already my favorite drink for this winter! SAU DELICIOUS!

World class. Already absolutely friendly on the phone when making a reservation, food is world class and inexpensive, I don't even want to start with the beer. As heavenly as its name, absolutely recommendable.

Tried it out last year on holiday in the Allgäu due to the appealing exterior. Super cozy atmosphere inside, very nice and cordial service and really delicious food! This time we drove an extra 30 km (one way) to stop there again. What can I say..? It was worth it and always gladly

Last year we discovered the Gasthof Engel by chance and were very satisfied. We returned there again this year, although the route was a little further (30km), but it was worth it for us. Very good food (the eye can eat) and super nice service. The ambience is really cozy and appealing. We would love to come back.

ENGELBRÄU beers are very tasty. But enjoying this at the source (brewery next door) is the crowning glory of any vacation trip. Food and other drinks are delicious too. The hosts are very attentive and nice. The Corona rules are observed very well. TOP. A place to stay. While others don't open until late, you are well looked after most of the day (and night). Cozy inn as it should be here in USA (Our beautiful Allgäu). We will be back.

Highly recommended! Almost everything on the menu has now been tested, the food is always great. For dessert, a Kaiserschmarrn (better to share with two people;)) Service is also super nice and courteous. We will come back as always :) see you next time

Super delicious food and great service! The staff is always super friendly and the boss looks through the rows from time to time to see if everyone is satisfied. I can only recommend it! The garlic steak is particularly recommended!

The beer is also great and if it wasn't Corona time, the brewery tour would also be recommended. Reserving in good time is a MUST. A really good decision to have eaten here and they tried very hard to implement the applicable hygiene measures and, to be honest, that is a great praise to the customer that they appreciate, because all these precautions also cost the owner extra money. Many corporations with capital behind their backs don't really care. Therefore, from me already 5 stars extra. The food was delicious, I had the Swiss sausage salad. Very nice old brewery inn with very good, regional cuisine. This is where you meet the locals. The portions are plentiful. The staff is friendly and very attentive. The beer garden is cozy. It wasn't the last time we were here.

At the end of our vacation we went to the Brauereigasthof Engel to eat. Everyone can find something to eat on the menu, as it has a wide range of options. The food came quickly and can only be recommended. The service is very nice and entertains guests during their stay thanks to their funny and personal manner. We will definitely be back next year! However, since the inn is very popular with tourists and locals, it is advisable to reserve a table in advance.

A bit of a late review, but I got long enough to reflect on my evaluation. :) A really great restaurant that we love to visit again and again. All dishes are great and always have the finishing touches. The landlord and waiter are always in a good mood, read every wish from their eyes and always keep a professional overview. We always had the impression that the guests are not simply processed, but that all individual wishes and needs are taken into account. Thank you for the fantastic hospitality and atmosphere not only in this but also in the last and probably also in the coming years. I was really happy to celebrate my 30th birthday with one of the best pork knuckles in the Allgäu!

For people who are driving through there just an insider tip. We were warmly welcomed and enthusiastic about the service. Those who like local cuisine will love the food. Short and sweet simply delicious. Price performance great, as well as the beer 🍺.

Very nice restaurant, very attentive service. Really good food. Corona is taken seriously: tables apart, in the restaurant inside tables are not used. Conscious choice of attentive restaurant owner, a couple in their mid-thirties. Beer list great, as is the terrace right next to the brewery.

We tried many dishes from the menu and were never disappointed, large portions, a delicacy for the very best. The ambience is very cozy, whether in the parlor or in the beer garden. We usually made reservations in advance. But even with spontaneous appearances a possibility was found that we got a table, even though it was already full. We will be back definitely!!!! Great restaurant with wonderful, friendly staff and excellent food! I bought a last minute gift from their selection of beer mugs for my husband's birthday. The lady who helped me then proceeded to wrap it up very nicely and kept it hidden until I was ready to collect it. Our kids enjoyed the live music and it was a lovely atmosphere. Some of the best hospitality in Allgäu! We hope to return on our next visit to Germany!

My wife and I stopped at this Biergarten by chance as we traversed Germany, and had a great experience. The atmosphere nice, except that it is right beside a road where a good amount of traffic goes by. When we moved to another table to be further from the road, the waitress seemed miffed. They do not speak english here, yet we were able to order with no problems. The food was excellent! We had a gulash and a sausage dish, and both were some of the best we ate while in Germany. I enjoyed the beer as well, which I believe is brewed at a large brewery the next building over.
